Position Summary:
The Technology Integration Specialist assists in implementing and supporting academic technology initiatives to advance teaching and learning of in-person, hybrid, and online modalities across the university. The position is expected to work across instructional units, supporting all colleges, and collaborate with the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL), the Center for Disability Access and Resources (CDAR), Employee Development and Learning (EDL), and the Library to provide cohesive support for faculty.
Duties Include:
- Support integration of technologies
- Collaboration with departments across Idaho
- Create tutorials and documentation
- Process improvement
- Build leadership skills
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Four years in an information technology role, directly providing technical support to customers
- A Bachelor's Degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Computer Science may substitute for the above experience
- One year developing and delivering training sessions, workshops and/or professional development programs
- Establishing and maintaining working relationships with students, faculty and/or staff
- Translating complex technical concepts into clear language for general audiences
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree, Masters or Terminal Degree preferred
- Teaching experience in a K-12 or higher education setting
- Experience with instructional coaching or technology integration in an academic setting
