Northern State University's Department of Science and Math is accepting applications for an Instructor or tenure-track Assistant Professor of Biology position to begin August 2025. Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master's (Instructor) or Ph.D. (tenure-track Assistant Professor) in Biology or a closely related field and have a commitment to undergraduate education. ABD candidates with a definite completion date prior to August 2025 will be considered. Teaching experience is desired, and the ability to teach Human Anatomy and Physiology, Gross Anatomy, or Microbiology are preferred. For an Assistant Professor, research in the candidate's area of expertise is expected. Responsibilities: The applicant will be expected to teach undergraduate classes, depending on rank and departmental needs. Courses will include both introductory and upper-level undergraduate courses. Primary teaching responsibilities will include Human Anatomy and Physiology, Gross Anatomy and/or Microbiology; other courses are based on the candidate's area of expertise and the needs of the department. The applicant will engage in research (if tenure-track) and service. The candidate will also be expected to support student recruitment and retention efforts and fulfill other duties as assigned.
